Garsdale Head railway station is approximately 1 miles away. This is on the Settle – Carlisle line and we are happy to collect guests from the station and drop them back there after their stay.
There is a mini bus service to & from Hawes to Garsdale Railway station and this service stops outside “The Garsdale”. Please email and we can forward time tables.
There is car ample parking at the front of Garsdale House, parking in the drive and further parking to the front of our garage.
There is one step to the entrance lobby of the Garsdale B&B and from the lobby access directly to the Bridleway ground floor double or twin guest room.
From the lobby there is also a stairway access to the first floor rooms The Pennine and The Lady Anne guest room.
All rooms are en-suite and comprise of w/c hand basin and shower enclosures and the en-suites are on the same level of each room.
The are 4 steps to a quarter landing and 8 further steps to the landing and from this landing is access to the first floor rooms and a handrail to the stairs way.
From the lobby access is also to the breakfast room. There are 3 steps to the lower level.
All rooms and the stairway are fitted with emergency lighting with the exception of the en-suites.
The conversion of the barn to the B&B has been carried out to meet or exceed the regulations as set by the the local authorities building control.
There are two smoke/fire detectors located in the lobby and areas, one to the lobby area and the 2nd at the first floor landing. In the event of activation both sound at the same time.
In the event of a fire alarm activation please leave the building and meet outside the garage to the left as from exiting the lobby.
At the inside of the main entrance door on the right hand side is a red pull cord and this activates an alarm in the proprietors accommodation area.
All rooms from the entrance lobby are fire doors and fitted with auto closes
Fire extinguishers are located at the top landing outside the Lady Anne and Pennine rooms and outside the entrance door to the breakfast room.
The conversion of the barn to the B&B has been carried out to meet or exceed the regulations as set by the the local fire safety officers.
